Pretty much the most impressive body of work by any artist/band ever.
Everyone else is a cunt in comparison.

Generally I think Bowie albums are shit. However on each album there is 1-2 excellent tracks
Take the seminal Station to Station. Its has Golden Years and Wild is The Wind. the rest is pants
Heroes- Heroes and Secret Life Of Arabia. Rest is pretty average at best.

I'm happy to confirm that I voted for Hunky Dory in this poll, but it could quite easily have been four others.
Just a fucking fantastic album by someone who clearly justifies the descriptor of genius...

I would have voted for Ziggy Stardust for the sheer number of killer tracks - Five Years, Ziggy Stardust, Starman, Suffragette City, Moonage Daydream and Rock n Roll Suicide all on one album.
Hunky Dory is a close second, and I also have a lot of love for Aladdin Sane, Low and Heroes.

Station to Station is a good one though always have to swerve "Wild is the Wind" or whatever it's called. Heroes is an album I've recently got into, I was put off by the title track before but the instrumentals, the second track Joe Lion and that strange warped Arabia track at the end. make it a bit better than Low. I would probably go for Ziggy over Aladdin Sane because of that terrible cover of 'Let's spend the night together' on AS, but both albums are overall great. I would have Ziggy joint top with Hunky Dory.

Hunky Dory Ziggy Space Oddity
Those are my favouriye 3. Space Oddity rarely gets mentioned but there are some outstanding tracks. 'Cygnet Comittee' has the most inssne lyrics as does 'Unwashed and somewhat slightly dazed'. And 'letter to Hermoine has to be among the best love songs ever written.

Outside is criminally under-rated. I played that to death when it came out.
